Frequently Asked Questions

  • Online (Telehealth) counselling is a way for you to engage in counselling using internet technology such as Zoom.

You are responsible for the costs associated with setting up the technology needed so you can access Telehealth services.

The Soul Pharmacy Counselling will be responsible for the cost of the call to you and the cost associated with the platform used to conduct Telehealth services.

To access Telehealth consultations you will need access to a quiet, private space; and the appropriate device, i.e. smartphone, laptop, iPad, computer, with a camera, microphone and speakers; and a reliable internet connection.

The privacy of any form of communication via the internet is potentially vulnerable and limited by the security of the technology used.

The Soul Pharmacy Counselling takes all reasonable measures to protect and secure the privacy of the session. All Zoom sessions are encrypted for your security.

The practitioner and the client are strictly forbidden to record their online sessions without consent from both parties and the guaranteed security of the recording is clear.

  • Each 1-hour online (Telehealth) session costs $110 (Australian dollars).

I also offer limited spaces at a concession rate of $95 Australian dollars per 1-hour session, and Pro Bono (free of charge) sessions to women who are currently on a student visa.

Please get in touch for more details.

  • I am currently available to offer online (Telehealth) counselling sessions on Fridays, from 9 am to 5 pm, and Saturday mornings from 9 am to 12 pm, AEST/ AEDT.

  • Please make payment 24 hours prior to your appointment.

Payment is to be made via bank transfer.

The bank account details will be provided to you on the invoice to be sent prior to the agreed appointment time.

  • The duration of counselling session is 1 hour (60 minutes).

Normally we will meet at a regular time agreed by both counsellor and client, on a weekly or fortnightly basis, depending on your situation.

If we’ve been working together for some time, we may decide to make your appointments monthly.

  • The counsellor/psychotherapist - client relationship is one that should remain private.

This means that your name, other personal information or issues discussed during the session cannot be shared with other people without your consent.

By law, however, there is certain information shared during a counselling session that the counsellor cannot keep confidential. This includes information regarding:

    · Harm to yourself

    · Harm to, or serious threats against another person

    · Child abuse issues

    · Committing of crimes

    · When otherwise subpoenaed or required by law

In these circumstances, the client has the power to decide what information they will share with their counsellor and the client is aware that certain information will not be kept confidential.

  • If for some reason you need to cancel or postpone the appointment, please give at least 24 hours’ notice. This allows me to offer that appointment to someone else.

If you don't show up for your appointment you may be charged the full fee for late cancellation or non-arrival.

There are no refunds for non-attendance without notice for any reason, technical or otherwise.

Please ensure you test your webcam, internet and audio prior to booking your first appointment.

  • Normally, the end of counselling would be by mutual prior agreement. However, you have the right to end your counselling at any time.

I would appreciate you letting me know if you decide not to return to counselling, giving at least 48 hours’ notice.

If at any time I feel that our counselling is no longer appropriate for you, I will discuss this with you and may suggest discontinuation or a referral to a more appropriate service.

“One of the most calming and powerful actions you can do to intervene in a stormy world is to stand up and show your soul. Struggling souls catch light from other souls who are fully lit and willing to show it.”
